Summer is here which means one thing, its barbecue season. To celebrate this, we've picked a selection of our products that we think are perfect for this time of year.
Our large brioche burger buns are very popular with consumers who are looking for the perfect roll to compliment their burgers. The high butter content gives the bun a very rich and almost sweet flavour that is great at absorbing any juices from the burger. This bun is also glazed to give it a shine that makes it look great!
Next is our large seeded brioche bun, this is similar in shape and size to the previously mentioned bread, although features a seeded top which really adds a high-end look to the overall product. The bun is made of the same rich brioche as the previous product although is topped with poppy seed, millet seed and linseed. This is a great alternative to sesame seed topped burger buns as it means that the 1 in 100 people in the UK who suffer from sesame seed intolerance can still enjoy a great burger.
If you suffer from a gluten intolerance that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be able to have great barbequed burgers just like everyone else and that is why we make a completely gluten free bun.
Another great alternative to the classic burger buns is the pretzel rolls. These are a soft white bread roll with a pretzel like coating. This firm outer means that the bread is great at holding the burgers content without it falling out. This is a great speciality bun and combines a favourite American snack with traditional Yorkshire white bread and it makes a great twist from your usual burger bun.
Of course, it won’t just be burgers on your BBQ’s, they’ll probably be some sausages as well. We bake a great range of torpedo rolls and hotdog buns. For this selection we’ve picked our brioche hotdog. Brioche is the perfect bread to combine with sausages as it is soft but also very rich. Serve with onions and either ketchup or mustard for the perfect hotdog.
Finally, we thought we’d finish with a new product from our technical team, the pea and mint bun. We think this would make a great bun for a Greece inspired burger, filled with a lamb burger, feta cheese, cucumber and topped with some tzatziki. This would make a great change to your classic barbeques.
