At Fosters Bakery, we have a wide range of products and we also make products which originate from different countries. Brexit is causing a lot of uncertainty within businesses in many ways in terms of products, ingredients and changes in cost. Our product range includes many European products which are available from us in Barnsley, South Yorkshire! We deliver all over the country and customers can also pick up their products if that suits them. Part of our ethos is to remain positive and be optimistic about the future so rather than dwelling on the uncertainty of Brexit, we are celebrating our European bread!

Our brioche loaf offers a delicious and buttery alternative to your standard sliced bread. All of our loaves have the option of coming cut or uncut and in different slice thicknesses. This brioche loaf is light and delicious when lightly toasted. This is a great bread to have on the side of a meal or for toast topped with berries or bacon and maple syrup or honey.
We make a variety of brioche buns, ranging in different sizes and different flavours.
These are some mini brioche rolls which contain a variety of fillings and our NPD team are always up for trying new flavours and combinations. These 3 brioche buns contain cranberries, sundried tomatoes and the last contains cinnamon with sugar nibs on the top. The brioche slider is a plain brioche which is a great option for a smaller sandwich or burger. These ones have been batched baked so they have the soft sides where they have been pulled apart from the bun next to it. We have filled our slider with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chicken goujons, bacon and melted cheese.
These two rolls are more of a medium size brioche bun. Our medium brioche bun is a little flatter whereas our medium brioche bap is a little taller and makes a brilliant bap for a stacked burger! We have filled our medium brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken, cucumber and cheese. In our taller brioche baps, we have filled them with a classic beef burger, tomato, lettuce, melted cheese and jalapenos in one and bacon in the other.
This is our large brioche bun, it’s great for a big, filled-to-the-brim burger or sandwich and is soft and buttery! Get in touch with us if you want some more sizing information. To make a delicious burger, we filled our bun with lettuce, tomato, a beef burger, melted mozzarella cheese and topped with bacon.
These are our glitter buns topped with kibbled pumpkin. This was an innovation which we released over Christmas time and was a great way to add some festive sparkle to your sandwich. We filled ours with festive fillings. Our vegetarian option was filled with brie and cranberry sauce whilst our other bun was filled with turkey, bacon, brie and topped with cranberry sauce, delicious!
We also do brioche buns topped with seeds. These are topped with poppy seed, millet seed and linseed. We are flexible in terms of which seeds you want on top of your buns and we can do a custom mix tailored to you. We switched our fillings up by instead of using a traditional burger, we used the bun for a sandwich instead. We filled ours with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a tuna mayonnaise mixture with sweetcorn.
We also make different varieties of brioche hotdogs. These are great, especially in summer when they can be used for hotdogs and barbecues. We have our long brioche hotdogs which would be perfect for jumbo sausages and regular sized hotdogs, as well as making mini ones which are perfect for a buffet. We have used the standard hotdog to fill our buns and added a variety of toppings including fried onions, jalapenos and bacon.
You don’t have to go to Italy for your ciabatta! We make ciabatta squares which are perfect for toasted sandwiches. We filled our ciabatta with lettuce, grilled chicken, crispy bacon and topped with melted cheese.
We also make pizza bases. Pizza bases are made all over the world but since pizza is Italian, we felt it had to be included! We have topped ours with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella and salami.
At Fosters Bakery, we make sundried tomato focaccia which is shown above and we also make a rosemary focaccia. These either come in quarters or squares. focaccia is a soft and spongy bread which is brilliant for mopping up soups and stews. The sun-dried tomato also adds great flavour to a sandwich, we made a sandwich with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and mozzarella as well as a ham sandwich with spinach, cucumber and tomato.
GERMAN RYE BREAD
Looking for an alternative to your regular sliced bread? Out German rye bread is great for open sandwiches and can be sliced to the thickness of your preference! We have made 4 different combinations. We have tomato layered on avocado, tomato topped with cucumber and mozzarella, lettuce with avocado and salami and also avocado topped with tomato and cucumber.
The origin of pretzels and pretzel buns isn’t certain but we do think they’re from within Europe! These made a great alternative to your standard burger bun. If you want something a bit different to a burger then fill with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and mozzarella for a delicious vegetarian sandwich.
